A family music festival at Old Brodleians Rugby Club in Hipperholme, run entirely by volunteers, every June since 2014. Around six thousand people, two stages, and a forest school and bouncy castles for the children.
Built & managed by Halizonabrodstock.co.uk
We built brodstock.co.uk and have run it since the start. The identity, the QR interaction on site, the line-ups going live, and the real-time updates on the day itself. Halizona is credited at the foot of every page as the firm that built and manages it.
We film it too. The video here is the 2025 edition, shot on the ground and by drone, then cut into the festival’s own film.
All of it pro bono. Brodstock is not-for-profit, so anything it would have paid an agency is money that does not reach a hospice.
Brodstock’s own figures, from brodstock.co.uk, read 5 August 2026. Over £100,000 of the total has gone to Overgate Hospice, the district’s only adult hospice.
“You’re in safe hands with Halizona. Our music festival aimed to have a fresh, modern take, Halizona not only provided us with a great new website but also brought a ton of ideas.”

The festival’s endurance event: the Calderdale Way, the fifty-mile circuit that rings Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden. 55 miles by the time the runners were back at the club.
We gave it the day. Three shooting points as the field moved round the valley: the start at Old Brodleians, the long climb to Stoodley Pike, and Wainstalls. Then home, cut it that evening, and out while people were still donating.
That is the part that matters. A film that lands the same day the legs are still aching is worth more to a fundraising page than a good one a fortnight later. brodstock.co.uk/ultra
£10,998 raised. Split between Focus4Hope and the Old Brodleians girls’ junior section. Two pounds short of eleven thousand, which nobody there will ever let them forget.

Rugby at Woodhead in Hipperholme since 1930, and the ground Brodstock is played on. Twenty-three sides, from the Brods Tots up to the Men’s 1st XV and the Women’s 1st XV.
The club’s old site lived on Pitchero. We built it one of its own and put it live on 21 September 2026: forty-four pages, a page for every side with its coaches and captains, news the club posts itself, a what’s on calendar you can subscribe to, the photos and the sponsors. The old Pitchero addresses forward to the new site.
Fixtures, results and the league tables come from the RFU and refresh themselves on a Saturday evening as the scores come in, and again on the Monday morning for the Sunday games.
58,344 photographs kept. Every picture the club had put on Pitchero since 2008, across 1,191 albums, copied out as part of the move so none of it depends on the old platform.
Lightcliffe Cricket Club turned 150 in 2025 and marked it with four days at its Till Carr Lane ground.
The Thursday brought Lashings World XI to Lightcliffe, with Sir Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh and Ryan Sidebottom playing a one-off T20, after a morning coaching the club’s juniors and a lunch for four hundred.
We filmed the whole day, from the drone shot of a ground you cannot get into, through the dinner and the bar and the cricket, cut into the film here.
Two thousand through the gate. A club gets one of these. There is no second 150th, and no second chance to film it.

Eighteen, out of Boothtown in Halifax, and gigging round West Yorkshire since 2021.
Five years of that was on his own with an acoustic. A band arrived in the summer of 2025 and the songs got a good deal louder. The debut EP, An Anti-Imperfection, landed in March 2026 on CBM Records, four tracks and just under fourteen minutes.
Halizona sponsors him and built the site. It holds the music, the live dates and the tickets in one place, so anybody who hears a track can get to the next gig, and it is his to point at when a promoter asks.
A home town headline at eighteen. Friday 16 October at The Albany Arcade on Horton Street, part of the Halifax Music Town Weekender, and the biggest show he has played.
Split by how, because the difference is worth being straight about.

We do not work with these directly. They are what Brodstock raises for, and the reason the festival work is done for nothing.
The festival funds Overgate Hospice, Andy’s Man Club, Music 4 MS and Old Brodleians Rugby Club itself. The Ultra goes to Focus4Hope and the club’s girls’ junior section.
We cannot take on everything, and we would rather do a few things properly than put a logo on a lot of programmes. But if you are local and you are stuck, ask.
